It's not bad I just didn't vibe with it. Thought it would grab me like the other cozy mystery.

Oh Doreen I adore you! Lol
Her new life. Her sleuthing and her trying to cook. Also most of all her bird and hound and her cat. All wonderful and made me laugh.

Never trust a pot of tea. ☕️

This was a short and interesting read, a little quirky. It is not a favorite of mine but I might have to read the next one to find out about the ending.

Fun and quick read. The main character is endearing and the "romance" (not quite yet a romance to be exact) isn't central to the plot. Would recommend if you're looking for a cozy mystery but tend to get annoyed with how focused on romance they tend to be.

It was okay but nothing spectacular. Really found Doreen to be waaaay to annoying and the resolution to the mystery was way to fast paced for my liking. But it was a easy read which made lunch breaks at work a bit more enjoyable.

Unfortunately, I found the protagonist rather tedious, the language repetitive, and the resolution poorly paced,
particularly because there was no build up
. Lastly, what the hell was that epilogue? Why on earth would you literally re-present a summary of the plot of the book the reader has just finished? Will not be keeping on with this series.
