Une histoire mignonne, sans prise de tête pour se détendre.
Tout est assez prévisible, mais on passe un bon moment avec les personnages et on découvre des parfums de crèmes glacées qui ont l'air délicieux !

On holiday in Devon last week, I didn't take any books with me due to travelling so far via coach and packing space, however I did buy one at a used book stall in the local town market whilst I was there. I wanted something light and quick and something that I didn't have any preconceived ideas about so I chose Vivien's Heavenly Ice Cream Shop. It seemed suitably summery and light, the perfect read for when you can only snatch a few minutes reading time!
I didn't read much on that holiday, actually just 100 pages or so on the 6 hour coach journey back, but I did finish it when I got home.
There are a lot of problems with this book; clunky dialogue, unrealistic plot points, melodrama, just to name a few. However, despite these issues and the fact that the plot is predictable, I enjoyed this story. It's the kind of book that you can pick up when you want something fun and you know that there won't be anything too heavy.
Overall I enjoyed reading this book but I am aware that it has many negative points. I would read something else by this author but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to someone else.

It took me a while to actually start reading this book because I kept getting distracted by the absolutely gorgeous front cover!
When I did finally get around to reading it, I found it to be a fairly enjoyable book. Definitely easy holiday reading.
The plot was predictable and consequently often boring; any 'plot twists' I saw coming a number of pages before the big reveal. I also found a number of irritating typos.
If you're looking for easy summer reading, this book is perfect as it doesn't involve much brain power to devour. Just don't go expecting a masterpiece!

It was absolute chick lit and it was amazing. I love the fact that it passes the Bechdel test, these women are also venturing on a new business adventure together and it's a sweet story about a family.

This is the first Abby Clements book I have read and it's fairly good, I felt quite connected with the characters. Unfortunately one thing annoyed me constantly throughout this book. Imogen and Anna seem to be completely clueless about running a business, they have no marketing strategy, yet Anna's job was supposed to be high up in marketing. This completely undermined everything else in the plot.
