I was really looking forward to this story because of the teasers & groundwork that given to us in the previous book. Nathan & Julie were such real characters in their demeanor & personalities, that I felt like I was reading a true-story.

Nathan - the nervous, non-confident, anxious & clueless male when faced with an assertive female who knows what she wants. Even though it turned him on, he was still unsure of how to approach & deal with Julie.

Julie - the take charge & very confident in herself female who isn't afraid to speak her mind, even though she may be labeled as a Bitch. However, when faced with a true relationship she becomes scared that her confidence will be what eventually turns Nathan away.

The menáge scenes in this book were smokin' hot and the realtionship even hotter. Maya Banks always writes such strong female leads (which gets a definite thumbs up from me), who are secure within themselves enough to voice what their fantasies are and not be afraid to go after them. I can't wait for the next installment in this wonderful series!

I think it is because I read this first instead of following the sequence.

Meh. If was fine. Not great. Banks did a decent job on Julie’s character development. But Nathan - empty between the ears. Devoid of any discernible personality. There is nothing about him other than his looks that sounds like he’s remotely worthy of Julie’s attention and love. Besides Nathan’s dismal lack of personality, the only thing drawing them together was deceitful sex at the sex club and Julie’s car accident. Nathan couldn’t even call her back after the date though?! Ugh

I don’t like how whole chapters are devoted to the story lines of couples from previous books (e.g., Serena and Damon, Faith and Gray). AND Banks introduced a whole new character and partner for Micah when the storyline hadn’t remotely been resolved with Julie and Nathan. Why dropping these Boulder size nuggets?

And what 20 something dude, circa 2000s, would call a woman a wench, playfully or not? Aside from the LARPs to attend annual renaissance festivals. What’s with these weird colloquialisms? They don’t exist at all in modern language.

“No, he wouldnt be able to feel her ribs, or get poked by her bones. But shed be soft in all the right places, and he couldnt wait to bury himself inside her pussy over and over.” What in the hell does this mean? I wish I had a super thin woman so I could make music with her bones, but curves are nice too. It appears that Banks has some issues with seeing fat people as sexually attractive within their own right without being beholden or compared to thin people.

Third in the Sweet erotic romance series revolving around the employees and their friends in Pop's security firm in Houston, Texas.

The Story
That's it! Julie is through waiting for Nathan to ask her out. She intends to give him one more massage...that he'll never forget and she'll never see him again. Hah! She'll get Damon to help her fulfill her own fantasy. A Julie sandwich with total anonymity.

Only, Julie reckons without Damon's soft heart and Nathan's sudden fears...

The Characters
It's all the same characters from Malone and Sons Security: Pop, Connor, Nathan Tucker, Micah Hudson, and Faith and Gray along with Damon and Serena. I suspect that Banks is setting us up for Micah's own seduction with her peek into his yearly hell and the introduction of Angelina Moyano. She's also prepping us for Cole's fulfillment.

My Take
Again, a sweet story. Think of it as an erotic beach read!

The Cover
Definitely a sweet pose by a shapely lady in an S-curve lying against a deep orange-and-gold floral bedspread wearing a burgundy-and-black figured corselet and very feminine boy shorts, ribbons dangling. The title, surprisingly enough, is about a Sweet Seduction as Nathan himself is a sweet lover.

Another great love story from Maya Banks. No suspense in this one, just a fun love story.
