I guess what I mean when I say I like WLW stories is that I like stories where two emotionally adjusted, communicative women respect each other and build a life together. This is not that. This is a story about an aloof, insufferable woman with no ambition and another woman who for all intents and purposes exists on a separate plane from her. They're together, but they're not. Their orbits merely crossed unaffected by each other's gravity.
tl;dr it's well written, but story is bleak and the titular character is abhorrent.
Recommended if: you think Catcher in the Rye isn't the worst book ever written (it is)

My friend recommended this to me so I thought I’d give it a go! I love a short story (and lesbian love too 🏳️🌈)!
This one was okay. I was ready for MORE action and drama, but I suppose in a story that short I would not get as much out of it.
I gave it 3 stars because the descriptive languageespecially during the sex! was greatly considered and I thoroughly enjoyed the character’s journey into motherhood. I felt warm feelings towards Samsa and their daughter too 🥹
