These are far better than you'd think. Funny, a really good exercise in point of view, and the guy has total command over his story. You do need to like dogs, though, no question.

As always, Chet is a superb narrator! This series is just plain fun.

The Chet and Bernie books are a great series and I hope that many many more of them follow. Even now, four books into the series when most of the novelty of reading a story told from a dog's point of view isn't nearly as novel, narrator Chet says many things that surprise yet feel truly doglike. The mystery is great and the action is exciting, but it's Chet's voice that will keep me reading this series.

I love this series. It constantly makes me wonder what is going through my own dogs head. I'm not sure she is as astute as Chet.

Really enjoyed this book. Mr. Quinn does a great job in telling the story from Chet the dog's perspective. It gives the story a fun angle. What starts out as a bodyguarding job turns into a missing child case. As take a serious, Chet's narration keeps the novel from getting too dark.

I had so much fun reading this book, my intro to Chet and Bernie. I don’t typically read mysteries so I’m not a good judge of the quality of the who-dun-it, but Chet is such a lovable narrator that I sped through this book. I had a great time with it as a summer read.

Chet and Bernie continue to be a delight. I think I liked this one better than the last one. Chet and Bernie (with some help) investigate a missing child case that goes deeper than any of them could have realized. Looking forward to continuing the series.

Likable, humorous characters solving classic whodunnit. Great for the beach or a quick reality escape.
