This was a slow book. It was good and the character development was great! A good feel good book which is a little different from the other books I’ve read by her.
This was really charming. I spent the first 1/3 wondering where it was going, and felt gratified by the ending. It's just people being people, with some personal growth and happy endings.

This was the oddest book but I was intrigued all the way though.
I'm not sure how this book got on my radar, but it definitely wasn't quite what I expected. Early on I almost gave up as I thought the story was just a boring telling of the quirky people who lived in a big house. But I'm glad I stuck with the story turned out to have many more layers to it. I was surprised by some of the characters are their redeeming or unredeeming arcs as it may be, but because it took so long to get into this book, I still couldn't give it more than 3 stars. I do think it would have been better to read than to listen to as there are many different charcters and at times, I had a difficult time keeping track of them.
This is not the usual suspense novel by Lisa Jewell (I love her books!) but it was just what I needed for a literary palate cleanser after some other books I've read recently. An uplifting, sweet book, with a fresh, different story. I really enjoyed it. Sometimes a little slow, but exactly what I needed at the moment. The Audible narrator was great as well.
This book had an interesting setup with quirky characters and a cool, messy house vibe. Lisa Jewell’s writing is engaging, and I liked getting to know the tenants. But the story moved pretty slowly, and some parts felt underdeveloped. The ending was fine, just a little rushed. Not a bad read, just not super exciting.
