Izumi continues to be a total badass! I love her!
The build up to the final battle continues. I’m surprised that they let Al have a sort of big showdown with Kimblee and Greed. It’s pretty cool though. The standout this volume is Mustang& Riza v Envy though. Mustang and Riza’s relationship has always been interesting. It’s sort of paralleled with Lanfan’s relationship with his 2nd in command, but I think they sort of implied that relationship may have been romantic.

The long awaited Royai moment is finally here folks. We love to see it we love to see it. But honestly seeing Roy come to his senses by the people closest to him and also Scar was really a beautiful moment. Also “I lied”? Beautiful. I also liked the Armstrong sibling team-up. To circle back to the beginning, not only was it cool seeing Al use the Philosopher’s stone but Yoki was finally useful in combat. Yay. Finally RIP Kimblee and Envy. You both were little freaks but that’s okay I guess.
