The silliest trope in 19th century British literature is the reveal that all the random disparate characters were family all along it's so funny

I enjoyed many of the characters in this book, but man, the writing is dense. For a story about a kid, you'd think there would be a little more lightness, but I guess it wouldn't be a Dickens novel if it's not heavy.

I like Great Expectations better. Oliver Twist was really depressing.

What can I say? I'm not much of a Dickens fan.
