A bit of an out of left field conflict invented 3/4 of the way through and there were a few passages that could have used a bit more editing (repeated phrases or ideas)...but Lisa Kleypas is always such fun to read that I didn't really care. With a less talented author it would have bugged me much more but she's so good at what she writes that even a whiny cynic like me just has to shut up and enjoy the fun.

More cheesy romance, but I kind of adore the Ravenels, and I'm looking forward to more stories about them.

Okay, now this one was a lot of fun. Loved the characters, loved the plot and resolution. It was a bit wild but not outlandishly so. And the romance was top tier. I was thinking about ending my read of this series but this book convinced me not to.

Pandora Ravenel's book. Pandora and Gabriel are mistakenly caught in a compromising situation. Willing to do the honorable thing, Gabriel offers to marry Pandora but she is a business woman and has no interest in marriage. This book is about their courtship.

Lisa Kleypas is the queen of historical romance, and this is no exception. Pandora is so impossibly endearing that it is impossible not to fall in love with her. This books is also a wonderful example of modern feminist romance, with a headstrong, intelligent, determined, and flawed heroine taking her place. Plus, the throwback to the Wallflowers was absolutely wonderful.
