Amazed something only 19 pages long can make me weepy for the rest of the afternoon.

Lovely, tender childhood recollections. I think I need to read more Capote.

This was the first time I've ever read any Truman Capote and he had a nice, clean writing style and the stories were well-composed and mostly personal in nature. I liked the Christmas theme and the details of Capote's poor childhood in rural Alabama with his unusual relatives. I would be interested to read more and I enjoyed the short story format.

I love reading about Capote's Christmas memories. I love Capote's writing. I can connect can feel as if I am there with him.
"A Christmas Memory" is humorous tale of his life growing up in Alabama, and being raised by his mother's family. It is filled with friendship, love, and gratitude. I yearn for those simpler times when technology, and all that comes with it, doesn't rule the world.

Un encantador cuento corto para leer en los días festivos, que nos lleva a ver las tradiciones que un niño mantiene con su "amiga" cada navidad.

After spending the past month reading most of Capote’s work, this guy knows how to pack an emotional punch in the last line. I will revisit this short story during Christmas Season in the years ahead.

This was a very sweet story about the last Christmas a young boy and his older mentally challenged cousin spend together. It was a total departure from Capote's In Cold Blood which just solidifies my love of Capote as a brilliant writer.

This is the story of the Christmas holiday Truman Capote spent with his father when he was a boy.
