This is an adorable story about a dwarf who has adopted a whole community of orphaned tree elves and one little grass elf. It brims with love and sweetness in a story reminiscent of O'Henry's Gift of the Magi. This is a child-sized book of selfless love and generosity. I can't wait to share it with my grandchildren

There is only a 5 ⭐ rating for this lovely novella. I'd give it a 6 ⭐ if I could.
Rass, the elven babies and Uncle Doug Doug make for a wonderful, heart wrenching ode to love of found family. Each giving up something they love to make the other happy at the time of giving of the Candlelight Gifts is a the true love story.
Am I crying at a 50 page novella, shhhh let's not talk about it. I loved it though.

The Candlelight Gifts by JA Andrews is a short storybset in the world of the Keeper Chronicles. While you can definitely read and understand it in its own, I think it'll be a lot more meaningful if you read the main series first, so know the characters and their backstory.

It's a warm hearted and comforting read that left me with a warm glow!

Douglon lives among the elves and love it greatly. He is always bringing gifts for them and especially for Rass. Rass wanted to do something specially for Douglon so she decided to get the help from some of the dwarves to help make a mantel for his ax. She went way beyond which he totally loved. A great short story of telling of the friendship between a dwarf and elves.
