When I say I would like for FMCs to be aged up, this is not what I had in mind. Fallon and Julian (and all of the friends) act 16 but are between 24-28.

I really struggled to understand Fallon’s actions. It felt like Bella in New Moon trying to hurt herself to see Edward…

Also (and this one is my fault), I did not check the trigger warnings before reading this. This book covers quite dark topics and themes, so please double check before reading.

Honestly, I don’t know what I expected but after the first few chapters I was sucked into this book and I’m sad that I finished it in 2 days! I can’t wait to read the next one and see how the story continues!!

This is the most poorly written, boring book I've ever read. I tried to read it to fall asleep & got too annoyed mentally copyediting it to sleep. I genuinely got lost in run on sentences & confused by inconsistencies from page to page. And the ham-fisted Stephen King references!! I made it to the sentence "The girl who loved Tom Gordon" & gave up.

okay. wow. i read the synopsis but was no where near prepared for this book. it had me in a chokehold the entire time. i’m immediately starting book two. julian and fallon will forever hold such a special place in my heart, i absolutely love them. the way they never truly gave up on each other and loved each other while showing it in their own ways…. it was absolutely stunning. i cried so much reading this book because i just got so attached to absolutely everything and everyone, i felt this book. i swear i was in a movie.

please, if you haven’t read these. read them. go in blind.
