Cute picture book written from the perspective of a little boy who’s grandpa comes over when the little boy’s parents go out so that the little boy can “babysit” grandpa.

Super cute. Jane loves this book. If only we had a grandparent who could come over for her to babysit. :)

When we first read this book, we all thought it was cute. When we read it a second time, a third, fourth time. I knew we had to buy it. Luckily I found it at a book sale at a price that was almost free. Such a cute story and a great way to introduce kids into what happens when mom & dad leave them for a little bit. I just wish the How to Babysit a Grandma was as cute!

I like the premise, but it looses the point on some pages and it does not connect the idea overall in a really fun way.

Very cute, fun read. Probably best for preschool-age storytimes.

This book was so cute! It's written as a how-to guide and the child goes through all of the ways he entertains his grandpa while he is babysitting him. I can just imagine the parents telling their child that grandpa needs a sitter and that the child will be in charge. The things that the child comes up with are cute. The illustrations are cute, the story is whimsical, and the concept behind the story is clever. Be sure to check out the companion book, How to Babysit a Grandma!! Equally sweet. I can't imagine anyone not loving these books.

Fantastic, sweet & charming book that I am sure every Grandfather in the world would love to read with their grandkids. I can absolutely picture some kids who believe that they are in charge!

A moderate tale on how a young boy “babysits” his grandfather. Could be used with discussion on babysitters.
