I'm a grandpa and I approve of this book. So does my grandson.

This arrived to late for my Grandparents' Day story time. The humor might be a bit much for my young group, but I desperately need a good grandfather story. All of my favorites seem to be grandmothers.

A cute way to turn the tables if your little one isn't too keen on spending the day with grandpa - phrase it as "babysitting the old fella" instead! The illustrations are cute, and the instructions have lots of good ideas for a fun day of bonding.

"Babysitting a Grandpa is fun-- if you know how." When Grandpa rings the doorbell, what should you do? HIDE!" This fun books describes all the important points for babysitting Grandpas. "How to" tips include stay quiet like pretending to be a shark waiting for dinner, appropriate snacks for Grandpa such as "anything dipped in ketchup" and how to entertain a grandpa by putting on a scary play, somersaulting across the room and showing off your muscles. Finally, "how to say goodbye to a Grandpa" by giving him a picture for his fridge, give him a hug and a kiss and ask when can you babysit him again." What an enjoyable book that children and adults will love. 4 stars only because there are no diverse characters, but could be used with all ages as a mentor text as well.

My daughter loved How to Babysit a Grandma, so of course we grabbed this one for her to read to my dad. She’s find them super funny with all the antics of what you have to do to Babysit a Grandpa. It also had my dad laughing, and he’s quite a stoic dude. The illustrations were cute and depicted exactly what was happening in the book and the story.
We would recommend this read.

2022 January Buzzword Challenge
Prompt: read a book with "how" in the title

This was cute. I've seen this book in my library multiple times and it was pretty popular when it came out, so I wanted to see what it was like. I can definitely see why this was/is popular and like the premise. The illustrations are super-cute and colorful. Not much else to say, this was a sweet kids book a lot of kids will get a kick out of.

This was cute, but not quite as cute as the Grandma book. I still really enjoyed it and hope that my future father-in-law and my niece will enjoy reading it together.

Cute story, cute illustrations. A good one to read to kids before Grandpa babysit.
