Eve is really coming full circle. She finally sees and stopped fighting so hard the fact that she has a family. It was nice to see her show how much she really does care about Peabody and McNabb. Roarke continues to be her rock and I love the fatherly relationship she has with Feeney. Even her and Summerset were better to one another in this one. A visit with the sweet and motherly Dr. Mira and a quick visit with Mavis. Plus Jamie is back and while he has that teenage annoyance factor, Roarke and Eve were really great with him. Great mystery and I loved to see it all wrapped up.

October 2017 -- I really enjoyed this book. It's been awhile since I have read this series but this was a good one to get back into it. It was fast paced and I was definitely into the moral debate about taking the law and justice into the hands of the citizens to protect. It was a good book from start to finish.

"Purity in Death" (3.5 stars)-Sorry, this one was convoluted as anything. Once again I say that anytime Robb dabbles in "medicine" or "science fiction" type stuff in this series it does not make any sense. Heck even Feeney calls it science fiction crap in the book and it was. What was hard in this one though is that someone close to everyone gets hurt and there's a real concern they may die. But what baffles me is that the person in question seems to be dandy after like 3 days. Science I guess. Also we have the return of Jamie in this one and no I still don't like him. I really wish that he stop popping up in this series.

4.75 stars in my book. It was lacking something I can't put my finger on. BUT and that's a big BUT, the growth of Peabody, McNab, seeing Jamie again, the lines between Roarke and Eve - all well done.

I didn't see who the final straw was and I liked that.

I still love the characters and the writing style, but I didn’t enjoy the story. Too soon off Sea of Rust maybe, but the idea of a computer virus killing people just didn’t grab me.
