I've been reading this series on and off (not in order) since middle school and every book is freaking 5 stars always. I don't get how she writes stories that suck me in over and over but she does. And it's so very rare that I guess who the bad guy is. Ugh. Everyone should read this series and know Eve and Roarke and their friends.

This was a nicely written mystery, with a lot of emotional punch. I say that because while the series itself touches upon and deals with the ongoing issues that Lt. Eve Dallas faces from her horrible and traumatizing childhood, this "chapter" in her story dealt with some very scary events involving those close to her now. And I'm not ashamed there was a page where I did have a tear brought to my eye.

The series continues to be entertaining, interesting, emotionally involving and romantic. Dallas is a great heroine!

A group of terrorist use a computer virus to infect people whom the law let off. This group thinks that they are ridding the world of evil people but innocent people get killed as well because of the virus on the computer killing them.

Eve is being blocked at every turn especially in regards to warrants because as you later find out Judge Lincoln is one of the Purity supporters. Eve is piecing together the pieces but still doesn't have the evidence she needs to arrest until she turns a police officer and his girlfriend Clarissa Price.

I didn't see the twist at the end of the book though. I thought that mayor peachtree was involved the whole time.

We also find out that Mavis is pregnant in this book. It is hard for Eve to understand her excitement at being a mum.

I also like the insight we get into Jamie. Eve didn't want a teenager computer whiz working the case but at the end I think she has a soft spot for him.

Excellent book. Exciting from start to finish. The twist at the end was good as well.

This story was really great, a little less nightmares for Dallas and more action, I really loved it, and it was time to have finally Jamie back!

Gran bella storia, meno incubi e piú azione per Dallas, mi é veramente piaciuta e poi era ora di vedere Jamie un'altra volta!

This instalment is one of my favourites so far. I fell into this story from the beginning and even though I figured sout some of the mystery before the end, I still enjoyed the journey to get there. What i really like about these books is the author's great ability to weave a intriguing and compelling mystery around characters that have come alive during these books and especially in this story. I also like that there is depth to the characters and we get to explore these depths especially in this story. There is a great combination of humour and mystery in this novel so much so I found myself snorting with laughter in parts ( a really attractive trait when you are listening at work) all the while glued to the story till the end. I am also really enjoying the narrator on the audio versions of these as she has really helped the characters become distinct and alive. I have already started the net book in the series
