Solid action book. I enjoy this series more than some lawyer based ones because there's not a lot of legal jargon, and the unhoused characters are different and refreshing. Really appreciated the chapters in Parker's voice sounded like an actual 12 year old, down to calling David "Mr. Adams" in his head.

It’s hard enough being a 12 year old, now imagine being a 12-year-old who is on the run, has witnessed something very scary, and has people chasing after them. This is the third book in the David Adams series and it does not let you down. Chad Zunker is quickly becoming one of my new favorite authors. This is the fourth book that I have read by him and he continues to draw me in. This story has everything that you would want in it as a genuine, good legal thriller. I grow to like the character David Adams more and more, and I really love the inclusion of the “type “of clients that he works with. It makes the story that much more engaging for me. If you like legal thrillers give this author a try!

This Thursday and final instalment was more twisted and suspenseful than the others in my opinion. Not only because of the 12 years old little guy on the run , but the overall chase and finding justice where needed.
I’m sad that there aren’t more stories in the series next but I will read other books by the author soon.

KU read.

I've been a fan of this series, and it just keeps getting better and better. Runaway Justice continues the saga of David Adams as he starts his own law practice. Most of his clients are homeless and just need someone to give them a break. He helps a kid who got into some trouble, but then realizes that the boy's life is in danger - he witnessed a crime, and some unsavory people want to silence him. I loved the pacing of this story - fast but with lots of emotion. I like the new character, Jess Raven - she's a great addition to the series. I hope to see her more!

This was the first book I read by this author. While I'm sure it could be read as a stand alone I felt like something was missing for me.
It was well written. The plot was good. The scenery was great. I just could not connect with any characters.
That was ok though. I have read some very good books and didn't like any of the characters. This book was a bit slow for me to get into. There is nothing I can put my finger on other than maybe it was because I didn't read the first two books. It was a good story. A good story like. It has most of what I truly love in a thriller. Just something is missing. But it was enjoyable in many ways.
It had lots of ups and downs. Twists and turns. Young characters and older ones. Law and lawless.
I think it was good and I want to read the first two books now.

Thank you to #NetGalley, #ChadZunker, #Thomas&Mercer for this ARC. These are my own true thoughts about this book.
3.5/5 stars and I do recommend you read it for yourself. I'm not giving it 3.5 stars because I didn't like it. It's well written and good. There is just something missing in it for me.

Another fantastic David Adams book by Chad Zunker! Fast-paced, well-written, intense, suspenseful, and kept me interested from start to finish. I can not say enough good things about Runaway Justice. I really enjoyed the book and can't wait to see what happens next in the series. I would definitely recommend any book by Chad Zunker to others, you won't be disappointed!

Parker Barnes is a twelve-year-old boy who just recently ran away from his last foster home and is currently living on the streets in Austin. He has lived a rough life after both parents died at a young age and has jumped from foster home to foster home ever since. He is arrested after trying to steal a lady's purse and is currently sitting in the Juvenile Justice Center. David is called upon to help Parker out and after meeting him, David wants to do all that he can to help Parker. David ends up getting Parker a spot at Hand-Up Home with the hopes of finding a more permanent solution quickly.
What seems to be an open and shut case, quickly turns upside down. The FBI arrives at Hand-Up Home and is demanding to speak with Parker. Unknown to David, Parker was a witness to a murder of a federal witness and the FBI needs details. To make matters worse, the hitman finds out Parker's location and is threatening to kill Parker if he doesn't keep quiet. With nowhere to turn and not knowing who to trust, Parker goes on the run again. Soon the Feds, the hitman, and David are on the hunt for Parker. David teams up with a pro bono investigator and his street-savvy friends to find Parker first and save him before it's too late.

Given the popularity and quality of writing of this series (and the author's books in general), this will likely be both popular and highly rated. Zunker knows how to pull-in readers and keep them engaged, and this one is no different. The story is engaging and interesting with some good suspense elements, and the dialog and characters were nicely crafted.

I really appreciate the ARC for review!!
