If you haven't read this give it a try. It is probably the cutest most awkward couple you could ask for. There's a 20year age gap but as the manga is set in that time when it was acceptable it doesn't really bother me. Nothing inappropriate happens. It's a story of a very awkward couple finding themselves

Re-read 07/09/21

I still feel exactly the same way after re-reading this wonderful one-shot. I needed something light-hearted and wholesome and this is exactly what I got. I adore the two main characters and still crushing hard on Shin (although I've only got a glimpse of his face) and their pureness is just the sweetest <3

I laughed out loud multiple times and forgot about the outburst from Shouta which was hilarious!!! I'm still waiting for a sequel...hopefully one day my prayers will be answered.

An easy 5 star read :D

An easy 5 stars!

This one-shot manga was perfect in every way. The artwork was cute and the characters were soooooooooooo adorably naïve!!! My beating heart can’t take much more cuteness!!! <3

Ne Ne Ne focuses on the marriage between Koyuki (a teenage girl) and Shin (a late 30-something man). I know there have been many negative reviews about this story (mainly because of the large age gap) and usually I would be uncomfortable with this too, however, both characters are very inexperienced when it comes to relationships and physical intimacy so I didn’t feel creeped out by the age gap – in fact, I was willing them to kiss!

It's also hilarious! I don’t think I’ve laughed out loud as much since Dreamin’ Sun, and despite the very short length, it’s full of funny and super sweet moments (namely when they try to increase their intimacy and show each other affection). I know some people would probably cringe at such scenes but since they were so innocent it just made it even more adorable.

I really do hope the mangaka decides to write more volumes in the future because I would love a whole series on the exploits of Koyuki and Shin. Plus, we need to see Shin’s face!! *swoons*

This is by the same artist as Horimiya, so of course I had to pick it up. I'm obsessed with that series, and I had to try this one out.
Koyuki is married off to Shin, an older man who wears a mask, and whom she knows nothing about, but is determined to be a good housewife to. She's extremely innocent, but she thinks she's prepared for everything marriage entails, and she's curious. Fortunately for her, though, Shin is just as innocent as she is, and he can't bring himself to try anything with such a younger woman, even as their feelings grow.
This was a really sweet book. Koyuki works hard doing what she can for Shin, taking care of the house and cooking for him and trying not to let anything get in her way, even her own injuries. The humor is really good, and the banter and tricks are quite funny. Koyuki gets stubborn at times, and it's fun to see her fight Shin, and how Shin tries to appease her. They get a little dragon at one point, and it's a cute little thing.
I think if this series were given more time, it could have developed more, and more things would have been explained. I would have liked to see under Shin's mask, for instance. And I wanted to see the two actually get closer, to share touches and kisses more. But this was a really sweet ones-shot, and I think it ended at a good point. It was a fun, very cute romance story.
