“I love you. Drunk on Christmas, patching me up on Thanksgiving, nearly set alight by a sparkler on Diwali, covered in colors on Holi, or eating paella on a random Wednesday. In whichever of the five languages you speak. In whatever outfit you make me want to rip off. I love you, Saanvi Sloan Amari.”

this was fun! i enjoyed sloan as a character, her friendship with xander, and the forbidden nature of her relationship with marcus. and we love a rich man down horrendous for his girl! i'm not sure they will be super memorable to me in the long run, but i will definitely be continuing the rest of the series!

*thank you avon & netgalley for the eARC!

Got this in a Goodreads giveaway… and I’ve already purchased the sequel. Got to love a billionaire romance

Ugh real lovers are so back! There’s something so intensely romantic about a man who has all the riches and confidence he could want but still becomes putty for the girl he’s in love with.

Both Marcus and Xander are my new book boyfriends and I love how strong and witty yet vulnerable and sweet Sloan was as a FMC. It had good pacing and humour to balance out the sad and steamy scenes. So well written too! Like, come on!!

I’ll find every book you love. Hell I’ll dig up Cervantes and make him write you a new one.

Bro I MELTED!!!! As a book lover? This was exactly what I needed from a MWBW (man written by a woman).

The discussion of being mixed and not feeling fully POC or white was so poignantly included too. I’m not mixed but I deeply felt for Sloan and how out of place she was made to feel. It wasn’t too serious, but it wasn’t dismissive either. One of my fav reads of the year.
