Honestly, I'm so fucking tired of the blatant misogyny and weird remarks about women in this series. It's such a bummer because I really do like Dresden, and I love Butcher's quippy narrative style, but once I heard the fictitious skull make crude comments about the maybe-18 year old apprentice, I was just fucking done. Like, is it that hard to keep predatory shit out of your series? 

"He rolled Dresden's stats and being misogynistic was one of his downfalls!" I DONT CARE. Not sorry. It's literally your own made up world, you can write your characters however you want. "He's not super misogynistic, he just likes to open doors for girls and doesn't like to see women get hurt!" Well, yeah, that's called just being a human being. But the fact Dresden has to CONSTANTLY tell the reader how sensitive he is about women is fucking exhausting and annoying. I'm just downright sick of it and I'm not sure I'll ever finish the series. Which is a bummer because I'm nine books in and own all of them. But I am over it. 

Probably my favorite Dresden book so far. It’s wild they just keep getting better. There was one character I probably thought of as my least favorite, but I got a little sad and upset when

I got attached  lasciel/lash and then she was killed. I hope she can come back in some way.
