Definitely a 5 star book for me. I read it in 1 day (that should really say enough). This book was so good! It made me laugh so much I honestly loved the writing! I feel like this might be a book I reread in the future. I didn't read the prequel and ATM I am not planning to start the other books in the series but if I do reread this book in the future I would consider reading all of them.
Side notes: love the consent in this book, the respect for women is chiefs kiss, the brother/friend unconditional love is so unusual now a days, also the dedication to a craft is sexy as hell, also being realistic about not having a lot of time during the week like irl is refreshing and makes it so relatable while reading.
Anyways I really did honestly love the fake relationship it didn't feel cheesy and the progression was well done, the details were phenomenal, the twists at the end were so good! I got scared it was all going to go to shit with colton before soren connected the dots. I also love all the clues they leave to piece together. I was not willing to put it down.
This book also didn't rush the ending which I love because many of the books I've read have recently have done that and left me feeling like I was missing part of the story but I felt no such way with this book.

Rule Breaker is the first book in the Wild Card series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Vi and Soren decide to fake date because it would benefit both of them equally. Yet, there’s obviously attraction between them from the get-go. They can’t deny it for long, and soon (really soon), they both realize that they’re not just faking anymore.
Vi was strong and sassy. She didn’t really need Soren to “save” her, but he did what he could to help her anyway. She was so supportive of Soren, and she managed to get him to open up.
Soren was so sweet! Sure, before Vi, he had been a big flirt, but once he met Vi, he let her see the real him. His parents were…something else. But Vi was there for him, defending him when no one else would. And I really loved the way he showed Vi just how much he loved her. It was so cute!
I do wish their fake relationship was built up more because it seemed more like an insta-love story rather than fake dating.
This was a fast-paced read with little drama and swoony moments. It is a fake dating college sports romance.
Audio:
Narrators: Vivienne Ferrari and Duncan Cole
Style: Dual
The narrators did a great job on this audio. I could easily differentiate between the different characters.

Soren is my new favorite.
Love the arc of this book. Sorens amazing golden retriever boyfriend energy and Vi’s coming to bat for Soren every time are goals!

Sweet!
Super sweet book! Not the craziest of spice for a romance but I really liked it! Had a nice little twist at the end!
