If feels dated and the plot was thin. But it gets 5 stars from me nonetheless. Just because Erica Jong had guts. And made me chuckle here and there. And some of the stuff was pretty insightful. And she is really quotable. So yeah, despite few flaws, it's 5 stars. Take it or leave it.
Update, I've changed it to 4 starts. Afterall it wasn't all that enjoyable to me.

I hated this book. Its description says it helped usher in the second wave of feminism. I can't understand how. The main character is so whiny, insecure, self absorbed, hedonistic, selfish, and irritating, she could be the poster child for the side that opposed women's right to vote. This book made my brain angry.

What a pleasant surprise. I had fallen for the reductive stereotype; that this was just a book about sex. There really isn’t that much sexual here, it is far more a young woman’s exploration of her place in the world and how she can reconcile her desires for career, love and yes sexual fulfillment without losing her sense of self. Many of Jongs insights into female self questioning and self sabotage still ring true.
Isadora is perpetually whiny and annoying and immature, with terrible taste in men, yet I couldn’t help sympathizing and even identifying with her, (except for her crass anti Arab racism). Definitely a book to share with the young women in your life.

Parts of this were really witty and parts of this seemed to me ranting. But maybe that is because it should be read in 1978.
Insufferable. Reading this was an absolute waste of my eyes. The only way I finished this book is by hoping that something bad will happen to all the characters. Was deeply disappointed. This book should be left in some hidden shelves and forgotten and never read again.
