Reading this in 2020, especially the descriptions of what would happen once the smallpox payload was delivered and the pandemic spread, was eerie. Also pretty accurate.

I like how the story continued throughout (like it made sense from the beginning to the end). Also how the different characters developed. Only thing is that (well sort of expected) that the main characters somehow always escape and the bad guys don't get there way. Nevertheless a good read.

This book was too long. There was too much stuff going on, too many close calls to escape from, too many dead people.
The writing wasn't as sharp and compelling as the early Dirk Pitt novels, and while I'm at it, junior Dirk doesn't cut it for me. Maybe the children of the originals in this series just don't have what their parents did.
Or maybe I've just outgrown them all.

Poor writing, full of cliches and unnecessarily repeated words. Reading level about 4th grade. No character development. It was exciting, though.

c'รจ da dire che Cussler fa una serie di personaggi che sono tutti uguali a loro stessi, ora Pitt ha anche un figlio clone e Giordino si rispecchia nel suo amico, ma se sai cosa ti aspetta il libro non delude.

One of my least favorite Cussler books...or maybe they're all starting to run together.
