I loved this book. An absolute page turner. I cannot wait until the next installment.
Matt is now in the clutches of the Bacalou, a spirit summoned by the Voodoo priestess, Queen Sable, to curse the Toussaint family. With the help of the current Voodoo priestess, Madame Crepeaux, Owen sets out to save his son from the creature. The story began with sons and fathers and will now end with sons and fathers.
How far will you go to save your child?

Absolutely loved this series. Book 2 only received 4 stars instead of 5 due to the author's descriptions of Louisiana. If you're going to write a book set in Louisiana, then one should know that:
A. Not one single home in South Louisiana will have a basement. Since we sit below sea level, it would be an indoor pool.
B. Not one road in Louisiana is called a route.
Overall, I enjoyed the series. The last book brought everything to a closure and was well written.

An unemployed welder finds the perfect job to save his family from homelessness. The only catch is that they must relocate to rural Louisiana from Baltimore. As strange things begin to occur, they realize this move may not be the godsend they thought it was.

The Curse of The House on Cypress Lane was an ok story using many common horror themes. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid writing. My big problem with this book is that it just stops; there is no ending and this is a huge pet peeve of mine. I assume it's because this is part of a larger series and the cliff-hanger is supposed to make me want to read the next book, but there should be some closure to the story. Such an abrupt, cliff-hanger ending makes me feel like I've wasted my time reading a story with no ending.
