More people need to read this. It's raw and honest; it makes you nod your head in agreement, it makes your jaw drop at some of the absurd comments & situations she's lived through, and it makes you question your own judgements and biases.

Loved this memoir! Each chapter was a different essay from her life. Some had me in tears while others had me laughing out loud. Definitely recommend, with a glass of wine.

I listened to this on audio -- and while I've grown wary of audiobooks read by the author, I think the fact that the author is an actor really helped. I enjoyed listening to this book, and had several driveway moments. I expected light and funny, but what I heard was more real than that -- there were funny parts, but it's not a comedy. It's the wide-ranging thoughts of an author and actress that made me want to sit in my car just a minute longer.

There were parts of this book that were powerful, and everyone could benefit from reading them. There were some sections I could have done without. I imagine it takes a lot of courage to be as honest as Gabrielle was in this book though, so I appreciate every story she shared.
