I can't believe I waited so long to read a Terry Pratchett book. It was so funny and super good. Loved it! I will be reading the rest of the series!

Finished this in 3 hrs! Always such a joy to return to The Chalk, and to the world of Tiffany Aching!

Uno dei libri per ragazzi più belli che io ricordi di aver letto, non vedo l'ora di recuperare altro dell'autore.

A delightful romp into a thoughtful and heartfelt coming of age story. The chalk is made alive with the Aching family's women and it's absolutely the best discworld and granny weatherwax book to get into the layered world of terry Pratchett's books.

I "read" this by listening to the audio book - Stephen Briggs's voices for the characters were great, much better than I could have produced in my head. And of course, Pratchett's world is imaginatively created, and entertaining.

This was my first Pratchett novel. Clearly he is witty and clever and I'll probably taste a few more of his books when I'm looking for something light and easy. What I most liked about this book was the worlds within worlds within what I think is traditional folklore; it was kind of trippy. Also, parts of the book reminded me of Gulliver's Travels, the Harry Potter series, and the Wheel of Time.

Very fun book. Found myself smiling and laughing multiple times. Very enjoyable to see a strong female common sense young woman who isn't at all full of herself. Highly recommended.

Musste mich etwas zu sehr bringen es zu lesen, aber das letzte Drittel fand ich dann doch sehr greifend. Kleine süße Wortspiele und Trickereien sind aber sehr lieb!
