There's good dog training advice in this book, and the stories that Brandon relates about the dogs he has rescued are heart-warming.

Easy to digest with some personal stories in the dog training world. It has given me ideas for how to train our Doberman puppy so that she becomes successful and confident in the world.

This book was clear and easy to read. The photographs help you understand how to do the training. I don't see how you can teach these all in a week. He says to keep repeating and for my dog it's taking much more than a week to master many of these. But the advice is good.

Easy to understand dog training book, but what they don't tell you is how hard it is to train a dog when you are working at the same time

Always good to brush up on my knowledge, especially from one of my training role models!
Also don't ask me how long it took to finish a nonfiction book xD

I loved hearing the short stories of the various dogs he’s rescued and re-homed. The approaches were well organized and easy to follow. Some of the strategies seem very different than what our other trainers have suggested so I’ll see how my dog responds.

I can see how McMillan's story and training approach would make for good TV but I don't find it great advice for the home trainer. Refer to the latest statements from the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior regarding positive dog training over "balanced" training techniques.
