an amazing ending.

I was so invested in this story. It was a wild ride with an amazing ending. The emotions are strong. The heat is real. The suspense though. I couldn’t get enough.

Wish the ending was a little longer. Satisfying conclusion but just want a little more.

Loved

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this last book for forever but in actuality it was only a few months lol Angel Lawson really did her homework on cults. This is a dark why choose cult romance. The triggers are the real deal and I suggest making sure you can handle reading them. This author had me immersed into reading this story. I felt like I was there with Imogene, Rex, Levi, and Silas. The ending was perfect! Angel Lawson wrapped this story up perfectly.

Cult romance. It’s the thing you didn’t even know you needed to read…and you do.

Review for the whole series: Imogene was considered an outcast in the community because of something her mother did. From that time, she was constantly doing what it took for absolution and following her leader’s advice. She is given to his son to be his mate even though Rex doesn’t want her. Imogene is told Rex’s best friends will train her to be what Rex wants. Wanting to be the best person, Imogene complies with her leader’s decree. But it’s all one big manipulation…in more ways than they can see coming.

This is book 3 of 3 and I loved watching how Imogene grew a backbone despite all the things Anex tried to do to her. Book 2 left off in the horrid cliffhanger and I couldn’t see how Imogene and the boys could survive. This is a darker romance so for the whole series you need to check the trigger warnings!!

I always hate writing reviews like this, especially when I love the series and author as much as I do here. This was my first cult read and I was sucked in from the beginning. The dynamic between the friends and how strong Imogene is.

This book was the final in the series and I was honestly very disappointed. Nothing really happened, or what did happen was anticlimactic. So much more could have happened with their escape and running from Anex. Also, the development of their relationship now that they are out. A lot of the ending was also in Imogene’s perspective and I would have liked to see more of how the guys were dealing with the outside.

Overall I love this author and will keep reading her books. I also recommend this book if you’ve read the others in the series, it does give you closure.

Satisfying but a bit anticlimactic

I was very excited to finally read the conclusion of the Serendee trilogy! It seemed to all happen very quickly in the end. I think if I’d reread the first two books, this would have felt like it had more momentum. We certainly got a HEA, but I felt like the last half was very…abrupt. I liked the analysis of cult-like behaviour and the confusion they all felt as they tried to rewrite their minds. Definitely worth the read.
