it was … ok. a little disappointing i was really excited to read it. it feels so disconnected from the main character. I feel like i hear about everything after the fact, the narrator shares nothing with the reader as it happens.

Winterson's 'Bildungsroman' style is truly captivating and coupled with countless satirical anecdotes there is absolutely no way you cannot fall in love with young Jeanette.
