Continuing on in the comfort re-reads with Anne's story. I forgot how funny Davy was.

From tales of Davy and Dora to Miss Lavender and her old beau, Anne's life is not dull, even if it is simple and sweet. It is a little less moving-along than the first book, but overall quite charming.

The rereading of Anne as a fully-grown adult has myriad and wonderous discoveries. She's again stolen my heart, and some of the beautiful feelings stirred spring to my eyes and make their slow descent along my cheeks.

Dare I say it's mayhap a better read once one has made the journey from youth to adulthood, and themselves learned many things along the way.

Once a favourite and forever a favourite.

Idk why the narrator in this audiobook edition gave Gilbert such an old man voice! I found that very distracting. Otherwise it was fine.

Just as lovely as the first book.
