Still want to finish the series but I'm getting a bit fed up with the ex wife theme.

Multi-layered by timeframes/assaults/murders. Is this one criminal or two? Designer shoes and the women who wear them..

I do enjoy this series. This ones a bit grizzly though with the crime being rape, so it did make for some uncomfortable reading at times, possibly not helped by the fact one of the perfumes mentioned is one I wear! I’m always super cautious about what I post on social media and this really highlights the fact you can be stalked if your not careful. This seemed like a bigger book than previous ones, but the short chapters make it easy to pick up and read even if you only have 5 mins. It does keep looking back to a crime committed 12 years earlier, although not in a confusing way. This also gave glimpses into the relationship he had with his wife that disappeared which was interesting as in previous books we know about her disappearance but I don’t remember getting insight into the relationship. Looking forward to the next one.

Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is investigating a rapist in Brighton who attacks women wearing designer shoes. The case has links to one he was assigned to in 1997 and a case which still haunts him as he never found one young woman he believed the rapist had abducted. Liked the fact that this book gave us more information regarding Grace’s life with his wife Sandy - look forward to finding out whether he finds her or not. Really enjoying this series.
