wait im crying about Kominato...him as a kid was so cute...his hair was adorable and now he lost his "grandma"...i love that Shuko was there for him
i like how Futuba went with Kou around where he used to live and she tried to make him happy. I also like what she said to his mom, it was very sweet.
The bus ride back though! Futuba sleeping and her sniffing him, he was shook. She was chewing her hair too lol. But when he caressed her cheek and hugged her to keep her warm and he saw the charms, the Toma one though. AND HE KISSED HER HEAD!!! CUE "The One That Got Away"
im sorry but Toma and Futuba are really cute!

So, it ended up that Futaba was actually escaping from her feelings for Kou, huh. Btw, Kikuchi is a great guy, I feel sad. And finally, Kou and Narumi's confrontation. I'm hoping for a terrific penultimate volume!

I’m honestly living for how communicative Futaba and Toma are with each other. Like do I think they’re fooling themselves because they’ve both acknowledged openly that she still has deep feelings for Kou? Absolutely, but still a good skill to learn and have!!
On a side note, Kominato and Murao’s friendship is giving me life. I never understood the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, but i get it here and I love it. I don’t even care if they don’t end up in a romantic relationship, I’m just so invested in their friendship that it’s not even funny.

I know everyone was ganging up on Kou this volume, but I LOVED IT. It’s what he deserves, and I say that with no malice. Every girl isn’t going to wait around for you to come to terms with your feelings. Narumi and he are two peas in a pod because neither will get out the doggone way.
Murao is a breath of fresh air. She told Kou to his face to basically get out the way. He had his chance. Stop treating Futaba’s heart like a yo-yo.
Makita and her dude are kind of just there, but they aren’t annoying, so it’s fine.
And Toma is almost too good. Why do y’all build the 2nd lead up so well just to stall the inevitable?
Tell the truth, shame the devil:

“You have no right […] All you did was waver. I’m not like you. I’ve always been committed to Yoshioka.”
That boy Koga said it best: Once you’ve had a real man, you’ll never go back to scraps again. lol
