Dean Koontz

I feel sad I didn't like this book. I love Dean Koontz but I was really disappointed in this book. I didn't connect with the characters and overall I didn't like the story.
fast-paced

Gripping story telling, dark subject matter. A fast-paced read, but at times it delves too deeply into the dark recesses of the criminal's mind that are best left for profilers and psychologists.

This is the book that got me back into reading as a teenager, and rereading it now felt like catching up with an old friend who still knows how to blow your mind.
The story throws you right into the chaos—Billy Wiles, this regular guy, suddenly has to make these impossible life-or-death choices, and things just spiral from there. The twists hit hard, and it’s one of those books where you keep saying, “Just one more chapter,” until it’s 2 a.m.
What I really love is how it’s not just action and suspense—there’s a lot of heart in it too. Billy feels real, and it makes you think about what you’d do in his shoes.

So very scary...

Had to give this one away due to some inappropriate content. Not my favorite of Mr. Koontz'!
