In the end, this book was just not believable to me. It was like I was a child in the car on vacation, and I kept asking, "Are we there yet?" It wasn't bad enough that I didn't want to finish it, but it just wasn't that enjoyable.

Finn is moving on with his life ten years after his girlfriend, Layla, disappeared into thin air one night at a rest stop in France. He is engaged to a new love, his career is doing well, and everything is wonderful. That all changes when he finds a little relic from his past. Something that only his current fiancé and former girlfriend would know about. Is Layla back?

I gave this book two stars because I thought it was just okay. There was definite suspense which kept me turning the pages so I could find out the truth at the end. The middle of the book was a bit monotonous and many pages could have been cut out. The twist was very far fetched and disappointing, especially for this author. I loved her first two books and was really excited to get my hands on a copy of this latest novel. It wasn't up to B.A. Paris' standards, in my opinion. Those who enjoy mystery/suspense novels will like this book, but probably won't love it.

I listened to the audio version of this book, and my favorite part was the Irish accent of the male narrator. The actual story was kind of cheesy, and the twist at the end wasn't too hard to guess.

Such a good thriller. Kept me at the edge of my seat at all times. This author is truly starting to become one of my favorites. I love the mix of romance, thriller and everything in between. Couldn’t put this book down. Loved the jumps from timelines as well as the jumps from person. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen next, i would get a plot twist I wasn’t expecting.

I won this in a goodreads giveaway and was so excited to get my hands on an early copy. I wanted to love and I did speed through it to find out what was going on. But it left me very underwhelmed and disappointed.

I devoured this book while alternately thinking this is so good/this is going nowhere. It was a weird read.

Lol. Why do I keep reading BA Paris? Behind Closed Doors was fun and silly, and I actually kind of LIKED The Breakdown, but Bring Me Back is just trash. None of the characters behave like any person ever has in the history of the world. Their motivations and actions are so non-sensical that I found myself flipping back to make sure I hadn’t missed something several times. I hadn’t – the characters just make every move to serve the thin plot.

I just didn’t CARE about anything in this book – the mystery, the characters, the stupid Russian dolls. I think this will really be the final straw that keeps me from impulse buying any more of this woman’s books. She’ll get by just fine w/out me.

This was a weird book, it kept me wanting to know who done it, but otherwise I was not a fan of the plot or how it abruptly ended.
