Good
I really enjoyed this book! There were parts of it that reminded me of The Perfect Game, but it was also its own book and was really good. These people need to work on communication though.

One of my guilty pleasures is good over-the-top, soapy stories. I was always able to get my fix from the Sea Breeze, Rosemary Beach, and 3:AM series. Well, I believe I have just found another series for my guilty pleasure list.
Nick Fisher was the charming BMOC, who was known for his serial dating habits. After a string of short term relationships, Jess landed on his radar, and she was exactly what he had been searching for. I thought these two were adorbs right from the start. They had great chemistry and the banter between them was fun.
This relationship had its ups and its downs, and there was even a multiple villains trying to sabotage Jess and Nick. I mean, the drama with Nick's dad was so over-the-top, but I was ok with that, because like I said, soapy can be good.
Not to worry, Nick had his brothers in his corner. Some of my favorite parts were the scenes with Nick and his brothers. Can we talk about the "bar hotties with the bodies" brothers. I really loved these two! I liked the groundwork Sterling was putting down for their stories, and cannot wait to read them.
Overall: A promising start to a new series, which I am looking forward to reading.

but now that spark was a blazing inferno that I couldn't imagine putting out.
