I liked it well enough. A little too instalovey for me. But over all the story flowed well.

Sometimes you like a book more because the setting is where you live, and other times things bother you about the book more because the setting is where you live.....
For this book it was the later; at a big public university in California, I seriously doubt there is any sort of popular guy on campus, with 45,000 students....not to mention these were fictitious colleges, and the entire reason for Jes leaving school, would have never happened that way,or even at all, but I digress.... I really like Nick, and I think I will like his brothers even more..... and really besides the fact that he was letting his father dictate his life, he really was a good guy, who made a few Bad choices....Jess was likable, but however like A lot of girls her age she was very conflicted as to what she really wanted; sometimes it is hard to be strong and not stupid.... good story, just missing just a little something, but I can see some good things coming from these Fisher Brothers!

Nick and Jess’ story was just ok for me. I didn’t like either character for the first several chapters.

I kind of enjoyed the first half of this book. I liked Jess and her sass to begin with. I felt like the characters gave me whiplash. I would like H then he would do something monumentally stupid like calling the radio station. I like h but then she would find humor in his stupidity and forgive him too easy like when he called the radio station or went on a date with Carla. Neither character had a spine. H was so immature. He did whatever his dad wanted and was so wishy washy. He went on a date after he was seeing h because he couldn’t cancel on the ow? Give me a break! All this nonsense happened the first half of the book and it was downhill from there. The brothers were the only decent part of the book. If I would’ve liked either character I would have given it 3 stars, but I didn’t. By the end of the book I didn’t care if they were together or not. It ended with me thinking “whatever, those idiots deserve each other!”

I’ve had this book for a while and so glad I finally read it! Angsty goodness I loved Nick and Jess even if I wanted to kick his ass a few times. The Fisher boys are alright alright alright....looking forward to getting into the other books!

DNF.. This is the 2nd book by this author that I could not finish. Thought maybe the first was a fluke, but nope, the misogyny was alive and well in this one too. The main female character is 'the one' because she's the only female in the whole college apparently who isn't needy/a gold digger/wanting the attention and prestige of dating the 'hottest guy on campus'/looking for her Mrs. Degree. Seriously, she is differentiated from all the other women because she is 'fun' and chill. He's not a playboy, he simply dates women for a week or two then ghosts them/treats them like shit when he realizes that they're not 'the one' because, you know, that's the only want to make those clingy bitches get a hint. Everything about this book and the author's treatment of women makes me angry.

I had to stop reading this because being in both these people’s heads was an awful place to be!
