More like a 2.5 - the final act is strong but it’s so boring leading up to it. There’s nothing creepy until the twist starts happening.

Yes, this is a 5 star review for a Goosebumps book.
It's special because my friend bought me this original book.
And also I had low expectations, but found it scary! Maybe my new fave.
Turns out I find a lust for power to be quite frightening.

(Would these kids really be watching The Terminator at a birthday party?)

A complicated one. I really loved the concept but the little brother was getting on my last nerve. Also is this whole thing a metaphor for drugs or does it just happen to maybe fit it? Who knows.

Some of the Scariest Goosebumps tales are the ones where the monster is something inmate, but has an eeriness about. A Evil Camera that causes accidents or Bad luck.
A mirror hidden away in a attic that turns you Invisible with dire Consequences.
Let's Get invisible! has a slow buildup to its reveal but ironically was the longest book in the original ten series, I think Stine really played around with some of the mythology of what this mirror was and funnily enough, He confirmed he Would Never murder Children in Goosebumps.
He sure did technically murder Lefty in this Book.

I liked this one a lot. Cool concept and the writing seems better than the last few. It follows the Say Cheese and Die format of a group of kids finding and playing with a cursed object. The kids were likable for Goosebumps standards and I liked the twist, even though it was predictable.
