FACING ANNIHILATION <- perfect description

This volume was so intense. I was afraid for everyone's safety (more so than usual), and it was terrifying. As if it were even possible I gained more respect for Erwin and Levi
Spoiler when Erwin decided to be the head of the frontal (clearly suicidal) attack, and Levi for his general badass-ness and commitment
. Armin always has a way of moving his way up into my favorites for being an amazing friend and absolutely brilliant.

Spoiler Zone:
Spoiler The fighting with Reiner and Bertolt got me fearing for the lives of everyone. Sasha doesn't look alive at all in the end, Jean is hurt, Levi is outnumbered big time, Armin got scorched, and it all makes me so sad. All I want is for them to see the sea. Is that too much to ask for?
