I love this book! She is in such a sad situation but she works through it and I was hopeful that she would learn to love again.

I thought this book had a great story, but wasn't as well written as I would have hoped. Not that it's bad - just not great.

Overall, a good read.

"'But, Holly, nobody's life is filled with perfect little moments. And if they were, they wouldn't be perfect little moments. They would just be normal. How would you ever know happiness if you'd never experienced downs?'"

Continuing with my Irish theme, I decided now would be the opportune time to read P.S., I Love You. The movie is one of my favourites and I am glad the book was very different as who wants the play-by-play? I wanted something a bit on the fluffy side and although this was more of a tearjerker than I thought it would be, (Why I thought that with the subject matter? Beats me!), it was just what I needed. No chaos, just everything all tidied up with a bow on top.

Now, where can I watch the movie for the umpteenth time?

Giving up on this one for now! The prose is not to my liking.

what a beautiful book. and such an interesting idea for someone that is terminally ill to leave letters for their loved one left behind. the book touched me in so many ways and i cried at various moments throughout. i thought it was well-written and easy to read. i read it in two sittings because i couldn't put it down. i was also very pleased with the ending, which i won't spoil here. the author could have ended the book in so many ways, and i really think this was appropriate and perfect.

“Finding someone you love and who loves you back is a wonderful, wonderful feeling. But finding a true soul mate is an even better feeling. A soul mate is someone who understands you like no other, loves you like no other, will be there for you forever, no matter what. They say that nothing lasts forever, but I am a firm believer in the fact that for some, love lives on even after we're gone.”

I never saw the movie and I listened to the audio. It's a nice idea, but honestly I just thought it was boring.
