This isnt really a story as it is a history.  Would be a great recap or if you forget who someone is. When binging all the books though it wasnt necessary. But will for sure be useful as we wait for the next books.

Jfc, this is like a meeting that could’ve been an email. This needed to be a Wiki Page type thing, not an unnecessary published book. Did I really need a recap of all the events of the 2 series before these last two books? Sure. Did I need 5,000,000 different perspectives of the events from different POVs? No. Sure, I could’ve skipped around, but what is the point of PUBLISHING a recap book when the series isn’t even completed and just being like “that’s all we know…so far”

I feel like this is a Spark Notes version of all the other books. Could be used well for references, but it’s definitely lackluster compared to JLA’s other books

Basically an encyclopedia with a few extras, but doesn't carry on the story. I expected this, which is why I gave it 4 stars. For what it is, it's good. But organized info is not my thing, so I was mostly bored. Eagerly awaiting the continuation of these books!

If you're a super fan of the series or someone that is diving in and gets easily confused about the different bloodlines and creatures I would say this is the perfect book for you. This compendium contains just about everything you would ever need, even some character portraits. Even though Poppy was not as scarred as I imagined her when reading the stories. I did not read through this entire book, more skimmed it and read parts that I found interesting. I wasn't at all interested in Miss Willa's letters throughout, but that might be a draw for some!

Really just a reference book. Good if you haven’t read any of the books in a while and need a refresh before the newer books come out.
