The art was good but the "caveman speak" was quite annoying. Overall, cute but annoying.

The Boulder Brothers is an introductory graphic novel that will appeal to those who enjoy a bit of goofiness in their stories. Mo and Jo are a bit silly and not so observant. Beginning readers will enjoy knowing more than Mo and Jo.

The stories provide a chance to teach both text and pictorial literacy. As I read, I was reminded of Saturday morning cartoons of my youth.

Great for beginning readers! Especially those who are waiting for "chapter books".

Cute illustrations and funny little stories comprise this easy reader/chapter book. The silly humor will appeal to young readers, maybe kids intrigued by Captain Underpants or Ook & Gluk but not quite ready to tackle reading those books.

Nice first chapter choice for kids who are making the transition from readers to chapter books. Chapters are short, grammar is cavepeopleish, and there's some potty humor. Full-color illustrations will pull in reluctant readers and I think this will be fun for an audience not quite ready for Captain Underpants.

I'm also pretty amused that this isn't the only book in my "cavepeople" tag :)
