As someone that sees people dying often in her work life, this was-in fact-not a very easy death.

Beautiful read. It was difficult at times so I had to stop and start, but it was rife with insight. “There is no such thing as a natural death: nothing that happens to a man is ever natural, since his presence calls the world into question. All men must die: but for every man his death is an accident and, even if he knows it and consents to it, an unjustifiable violation.”

A moving memoir recounting the death of her mother from cancer. Reflective, introspective, gentle and honest.

doce e sinceiro: adorei.
