I really enjoyed the continuing saga of Banshee Creek! What is particularly enjoyable is the way the books build on the community, introducing new characters but continuing with the old. They are all linked, giving the reader a depth that continues through the books.
While each could stand alone, I recommend starting at the beginning.

If you've read any of the other Banshee Creek books you'll know what to expect. Quirky characters (not all of them alive), a bit of mystery & some romance. Compared to some others in this genre, this would probably be more romance paranormal rather than the other way around. The paranormal definitely takes a back seat to the romance. Patricia & Zach are not new in this series so it's good that they finally get their story told. The book opens with Patricia deciding to leave Zach chained naked in a building rather than risk him beating her on a proposal. This could cause issues for some readers although I choose to look at it as Patricia deciding to put aside her 'goody goody' persona & play dirty to try & get something she really wants. In this age I'm not sure if it's something that should be included. Perhaps a different scenario could have been used as effectively. However, it did not impact my overall enjoyment. This was a longer read than a lot that I have read from this author lately & while at times it felt like it dragged a bit, I still really enjoyed the opportunity to take the time & read more than a hurried short story.
Love this town and all the characters in it. Another winner from Ani Gonzalez.
Patricia and Zach are kind of frenemies at the beginning of this book. The comedy starts when we find Zach chained and it rolls from there! Banshee Creeks paranormal crew are having a blast with his haunted pizza parlour. But there are sad moments too, like when a characters father passes away, the heartstrings are well and truly plucked! Trevor is a putz and I'm so glad he gets his comeuppance!
With lots of background characters mucking in on the will-they-won't-they relationship this book is a lot of fun. A great story, engaging characters and laugh out loud moments all combine in this little gem!

A really fun book from start to finish! I’m definitely grabbing up the other books in the series!!
Out of the 4 Banshee Creek books about the Franco boys, this one and book 2 were both too long. They tried to include too much and just didn’t quite work. Books 1 and 3 were half the length, but much better stories. But overall, fun and easy reads.
This one also brought in the Cole Hunt ghost at the end, which is continued through the Banshee Creek witch series. Clearly there’s more coming since that story line has not completely manifested.
