I had high hopes for this book after loving the first one but this one went above even my highest expectations. I basically read in in one sitting and fell more in love with the characters. In book one I loved the enemies to lovers and the plot building and then this one I fell in love with the characters and the bond between them.

I loved how a larger portion of the book was in Dorian‘s point of you and I really got to know him more and see things from his side. I also really appreciate how Eden through little hints here in there about the family tree as even though I read all the previous books I was a little confused in the first one trying to keep up with all the kids and their parents.

I think it was really important for Sloane to keep her ground and make Dorian grovel because he did fuck up so it was nice to see the lead female character not be a doormat for the hero and we all love a good grovelling scene and the one in this one was really funny.

What took me by surprise was how much I fell in love with Wolf and even though I caught onto the little hint Eden was throwing throughout the book I was still waiting on the edge of my seat for the shoe to drop and the cliffhanger in the end did not disappoint.

I am so excited for book 3 as there is still so much left of the plot that needs to be tied up and I really can’t wait to read the books of the other characters. And the spice scenes were not that many in this book but the ones that were in the book holy hell I love them.

Overall Eden is one of my favourite authors and I would definitely recommend the series and all of the previous books, and surprisingly I enjoyed the second book more than the first one but I think that’s because I know the characters now and I’m super invested into their story.
