After surviving the ordeal she went through with her sister Page, Renee has decided to put the past behind her and get out of the game. Renee wants to be able to start her life over and enjoy the happiness that she sees the others around her enjoying. Renee wants a family, kids and the picket fence but she knows in order to really be happy and get her dream she has to give up the game. Since Carmen is the one who saved her she wants to turn over everything to her. While Renee is having this change of heart those closet to her are not happy with her just wanting to get rid of everything and they are even more upset that she wants to just hand over her empire to someone she barely knows. Renee cant seem to catch a break with her new attitude those around her begin to question her, Carmen is thrilled to have earned her sisters trust and will stop at nothing until Renee’s entire empire is completely hers. When Renee cant seem to find her instant happiness, and with the people around her anything but happy, as well as secrets being uncovered Renee must choose between her happiness or her loyalty. What will she choose?

As I read the journey Renee was going on I was a little upset with the fact that she had did like a whole 360 so fast. She was just really nice, and wanted a family and she didn’t have that edge I wanted her to keep. I know why she changed but I just liked the edge Renee had because I just felt her change came so quick. I felt Renee was really naïve, I know she wanted a family but she trusted Carmen way too much and she wouldn’t listen to those closest to her who she knew had her best interest at heart. There is a lot going on in this book as far as the drama and secrets that you don’t see coming. What happens at the end with Tina I would have never guessed it. I don’t want to give too much away in the book, but you will enjoy it. The only thing I can somewhat complain about is I am not much of a detail person so all the details some of them I could have skipped and just continued with the story but other than that it was a really good follow up to the first one. In book three I need to know what happens with Renee and Julian and what that sneaky Carmen is up to. Great job to the author and cant wait to see what is next.
