Realized I had read this before but had not rated it. The illustrations are joyous, the story meaningful, and the twist enjoyable.

I loved this book so much. A little dog named Arfy is trying to find someone to adopt him. He sends letters to everyone on Butternut Street. He gets rejection letters from everyone. But at the end someone wants him to be their dog. It is so sweet and I almost cried at the end. Plus there are ways at the end of the book that show how people can help all the homeless pets. The illustrations are wonderful and so colorful.

I’m super biased about books with dogs because I’m a major dog lover.

Dogs looking to be adopted are a super soft spot for me.

The audiobook I listened to added a lot of character to the story. I almost cried… 😓

Book is about a dog wanting to be adopted, overall it has a good ending but I can see it being sad for younger readers

Ok a) this title makes me hear Iggy Pop in my head, so that's good right there. And b) TWIST HAPPY ENDING! Bonus lots of visual jokes.
