Lincoln Peirce can effortlessly make you laugh while presenting a good solid plot, believable characters and great life lessons that was cleverly wrapped with giggles that melt your heart.
The only thing that i didn't like is unnecessary jokes that were made on the expense of some helpless characters. Like making fun of some students/teachers appearances.

So this is very similar to Wimpy Kid (I think it's also supposed to take place at the same school, from a cool kid's perspective?). I found it a bit more annoying than Wimpy Kid, and it seems to involve more gross out factor, from what I've read. It also seems a little older. Similar appeal factors: light on text, easy humour, lots of drawings, half comic. Not particularly clever, but not terrible, and like Wimpy Kid seems like there might actually be some thought (not a lot, but some) put in. Basically I still like it better than Geronimo Stilton.

Yes, this one does get a little cliche with
bully has a bad home life, so they act out
trope, but that happens in real life sometimes. Anyway, this is one of my favorite Big Nate books! The story gets the slightest bit emotional (gasp!), we see a glimpse of Nate's dad as an actual character (which means he had a life and aspirations before he was just Nate's dorky dad), and a cute preteen romance that doesn't hog the entire story.
Wow, Nate finally stopped pining over Jenny.

I definitely recommend!

Nostalgic.
