A beautifully illustrated tale of a cat on a path towards wisdom and the characters that are encountered on the way. Inspired by zen philosophy, author James Norbury takes us along on the cat's trek, and shows us that wisdom comes from not only from the quest, but also from the obstacles, and the friends we make throughout our lives. No matter where we are in life, knowledge and personal growth can still be gained, and we see this through the cat's own odyssey of self-discovery. For readers who love "The Giving Tree", "Oh, The Places You Go!", and "The Boy, The Mole. The Fox and The Horse", "The Cat Who Taught Zen" will serve as a wonderful reminder of not only how we should strive to treat others, but how we should also treat ourselves.

A lovely book that follows a cat's quest for understanding, and the wisdom he is able to share with others along the way. This communicated deep and introspective reflection with only a few words. The art was stunning and the mix of medias tied in well to the celebration of unique traits. A sweet quick read for anyone in need of reminders of how to find balance and peace amongst the chaos of life.
