Even though this is written for a much younger audience than my nieces (10 and 7), I think the 10yo would get a bigger kick out of it than her sister. She is a cat-loving hyper-literal kid with a big heart. This is another one I will probably buy and keep in the house for visits and the younger kids that aren't ready for paper picture books yet.

The only thing better than Nathan Pyle creating Strange Planet is Nathan Pyle *as a new dad* creating a children’s book. Recommended.

Will now refer to my cat’s claws as “death blades”

This book would be wonderful for 1st or 2nd graders with a classroom pet! They could observe their pet just like the beings do! I'm so glad I was finally able to read this! Worth the wait!

Offspring and Lifegiver observe a strange creature that sneaks, hides, and vibrates around their house.

I have been following Nathan W. Pyle on Instagram for ages but has yet to read a book of his. This one came back at the front desk of the library while I was working up there and I immediately read it right then and there because it’s about cats.

I laughed out loud and shared the pages with coworkers throughout the day who had cats. Also have used the phrase “flavor muscle” to describe a tongue on multiple occasions.

I think this book will make both children and adults who have cats smile and laugh at the strange behaviors of these four legged felines described by aliens.

Fully downloaded the wrong book but I’m so glad I did! This was so cute and if I ever need a short fun read I’m definitely going to check out the author’s other picture books.
