I received an eARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

I had a very difficult time following this book. The artwork was original and very cool but made it a bit difficult to see the progression of the story. Couple this with the disjointed narrative and I was confused throughout most of the book. I understood the general gist of the plot but don't really understand the world, characters, or sequence of events in any sort of detail. I think I could've enjoyed this a lot more with some background information and a more clear-cut plot.

good in theory but pictures are hard to parse and plot is very unclear at times

I had read this on tapas like 3 years ago and wondered if it would ever update again and now it’s a whole book so that’s really cool! The art is incredible and the lines are so crisp. I loved the setting and the importance placed on bonds and memories. Tone-wise it almost reminded me a bit of On a Sunbeam? Which is always a bonus. The drawback for me was just that I wish we had a little bit more time to see the bonds between characters develop. When Flo’s friend comes back for her, I wanted to see them talk and bond a little more! But still, a charming book <3

I really liked it but sometimes it was a little hard to follow, for me.
